Indications: Melatonin is an indole neurohormone secreted by the pineal gland and referred to as the “biological time keeper of hormone secretion”. It functions to maintain the body’s circadian rhythm, possesses antioxidant properties, and plays a role in the biologic regulation of sleep, mood, and possibly reproduction and aging.
B6 is included to allow for the conversion of dopa to dopamine. It also functions as a catalyst in numerous other enzymes and plays a role in the synthesis of serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine and epinephrine.Magnesium is included for its functional role in many processes, including structural (fluidity and stability of phospholipid bilayers, etc) and dynamic (cofactor or allosteric modulator of enzyme activities).
